As President Donald Trump spends most of August at one of his private golf clubs in New Jersey — a club he still profits from as a result of his unprecedented refusal to divest from his business interests upon taking office — his company advertised mixing “business with pleasure” at Trump’s properties on Twitter.
The Trump Organization deleted the tweet on Tuesday morning after Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington retweeted it, noting that the Trump Organization is “advertising mixing ‘business with pleasure’ at Trump golf course when Trump has moved White House biz to one.”

Trump is currently on a 17-day “working vacation,” spending the bulk of his time at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. Trump’s Bedminster club hosted the U.S. Women’s Open last month — a tournament the president blatantly promoted on Twitter.
I will be at the @USGA #USWomensOpen in Bedminster, NJ tomorrow. Big crowds expected & the women are playing great-should be very exciting!

According to the New York Times’ tracker of Trump’s trips to his properties, as of Monday he has visited one of his branded properties on 69 of the 207 days of his presidency.
The Trump Organization’s Twitter account regularly retweets posts from Trump’s two adults sons, Eric and Don Jr., who are ostensibly managing the day-to-day operations of their dad’s business while he’s president. Eric and Don Jr. promised to avoid conflicts of interest by staying out of their dad’s politics in days shortly before Trump took office, but in recent months the two have emerged as key media surrogates for the Trump administration.
