The U.S. Capitol was on lockdown for about an hour Monday afternoon following a shooting incident. Federal law enforcement officials told CNN and NBC News that a man set off the metal detector at the Captiol Visitors Center and allegedly drew a gun. The police then shot him. A woman nearby was reportedly injured by shrapnel.
