Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who remains a close adviser making frequent sojourns to the White House, appeared on Fox News last night and mocked a 10-year-old girl with Down syndrome who was separated from her mother.
Zac Pentkana, a former Hillary Clinton adviser who appeared alongside Lewandowski, told the story of a 10-year-old girl with Down syndrome who was taken from her mom and placed “in a cage.” The girl’s plight was first reported in the Wall Street Journal.
“Womp. Womp,” Lewandowski replied.
When Pentkana called him out for mocking the plight of a 10-year-old girl with a genetic condition being separated from her mom, Lewandowski refused to back down.
Wednesday morning, despite the video evidence, Lewandowski tweeted that reports he mocked the girl’s plight was “fake news.” (He also said the policies causing children to be separated from their parents was started under Obama, a lie.)
Lots of Fake News today. I mocked a liberal who attempted to politicize children as opposed to discussing the real issue which is fixing a broken immigration system. It’s offenseive that the MSM doesn’t want to talk about the fact these policies were started under Obama.

Appearing on Fox News again later Wednesday morning, Lewandowski was asked if he “owes an apology of any sort.”
Lewandowski flatly rejected that notion and said that the “American people” owed an apology to people who were “killed by illegal aliens.”
The host asked Lewandowski when he last spoke to Trump. He refused to answer.
Lewandowski, however, continues to play an influential role in the White House. In May he joined Mike Pence’s political action committee, the Great America PAC, and has been traveling frequently with the Vice President. Lewandowski has “remained close with Trump and appeared with the president at a political rally in the Detroit suburbs” in April.
“Speaking of not being a patsy or a pushover, you ever watch Corey Lewandowski on the shows?” Trump told the crowd.
