Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr., a prominent Trump campaign surrogate and Fox News regular, is reportedly under consideration to be Secretary of Homeland Security in the new administration. But his obsession with shutting down the mostly peaceful anti-Trump protests across the nation seems to be his top concern at the moment.
Seizing on reports that there was some violence at protests, Clarke unleashed a series of tweets denouncing the actions of “goon anarchists” and calling for the the National Guard to get involved.
How to stop riots. 1)Declare state of emergency.2)Impose early curfew. 3)Mobilize Nat Guard.4)Authorize ALL non lethal force. 5)Tear gas. pic.twitter.com/laBvrRbiz3

These riots are not protest and should be quelled quickly. These goon anarchists do not believe in the US Constitution or the rule of law. pic.twitter.com/66vdmiNasX

The U.S. constitution, in fact, guarantees all Americans the right to free speech, peaceable assembly, and petition of their government.
Clarke also retweeted a fake quote on Friday, falsely claiming George Soros was intentionally funding “Black hate groups” to “bring down the United States.”
President-Elect Trump denounced the protests as “very unfair” on Thursday night, but also praised them nine hours later as having “passion for our great country.”
Just had a very open and successful presidential election. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!

Love the fact that the small groups of protesters last night have passion for our great country. We will all come together and be proud!
