Three people were killed and three others injured in a shooting at a warehouse in Aberdeen, Maryland, police said Thursday. The shooter also died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities initially told WBAL-TV lead investigative reporter Jayne Miller the suspected shooter was a woman who had been transported to a nearby hospital. Police later identified the shooter as Snochia Moseley, 26, from Baltimore County. Moseley used a single weapon, a handgun, to carry out the attack. The gun was registered in her name.
Other victims were taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment.
The incident took place at a Rite Aid distribution center off Spesutia Road, along the 1500 block of Perryman Road.
“We can confirm there was a shooting in the area of Spesutia Road and Perryman Road,” the Harford Sheriff’s Office tweeted, just before 10 a.m. Eastern Time. “Multiple victims. The situation is still fluid. Please avoid the area.”
According to law enforcement, the shooting was first reported at 9:09 a.m.

In a statement to reporters just after noon, authorities said there was no additional threat to the community.
“Based on what we know right now… the lone suspect in this incident is in custody and is in critical condition at a local hospital,” Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler said. “… There were no shots fired by any of the law enforcement officers responding to the scene. We do not believe that there is an additional threat anywhere to our Harford County community.”
Police have since set up a family reunification center for those affected by the shooting, located at the Level Volunteer Fire House, 3633 Level Village Road in Havre de Grace.
Harford County Executive Barry Glassman said he had spoken with Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan Thursday morning, who offered “all of his resources available under state government.”
“We [want to] reach out to those families that are suffering right now, that have lost loved ones, and offer our services as we begin to get them reunified, not only with loved ones lost but with workers that have been displaced,” Glassman added. “I certainly thank all of our courageous men and women that have helped us this morning.”

Witnesses described the situation as shocking.
“Everybody there is so tight-knit. There’s not that many people that work there. Everybody is so nice over there, that’s why it’s a shock,” Alexi Scharmann, whose mother works in the building, told WBAL-TV.
Scharmann said her mother texted her after the first shots rang out.
“I love you both more than u will ever know,” she wrote. “There is a shooter in the building. I am hiding. I love you.”
She added, “Be good an[d] take care of daddy an[d] the pets if something should happen.”
