Ali M Latifi is a Kabul-born, California-raised freelance journalist. He has traveled to more than 10 Afghan provinces and reported on the situation of refugees in Greece and Turkey since 2013. He has written for Al Jazeera English, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, VICE News, Deutsche Welle, and DAWN News. He has also appeared on radio and TV in Washington, Doha, London, and Cape Town.
